Domestic Strata - Budapest Rucksack Pattern

The Budapest Adventure Rucksack pattern by Domestic Strata is perfect for that weekend trip but small enough to use as a day pack around town! This backpack pattern can be made in a patchwork fabric design or just use one fabric - your choice! The Budapest Rucksack is expandable with a roll top and can also be quilted. The finished size (unrolled) is approximately 13.5" x 20" x 3.5" and this pattern is recommended for the intermediate sewist.
Materials Needed:

- Version 1 (Scrappy) -
- Front & Straps - Scraps OR 6 Fat Eighths (9" x 21")
- Back - 1 Fat Quarter or 1/2 yard
- Version 2 (Solid) -
- 2/3 yard
- Lining - 1/2 yard
- Muslin - 1/2 yard
- Binding - 1/3 yard
- Batting - 22" x 42"
- Kraft-Tex - 3/4 yard OR
- Leather - 18" x 24"
- 3/4" D-Rings - 8
- Quilt basting spray, walking foot, quilting needle, leather needle
Correction to the Budapest Pattern: Page 16, Step 12, should read: "Flatten and arrange one lining corner as illustrated, mark 2" from the tip of the triangle.
